The Dinky Stream Lined Fire Engine In April 1936, Dinky Toys introduced the Streamlined Fire Engine, 25h, which cost 9 pence. From May through to December, the Streamlined Fire Engine appeared in the Dinky Toys advert within the Meccano Magazine. In July, 1936, the model featured on the magazine's prestigious penultimate page where, at a time of almost no colour printing, the page was tinted blue to denote its importance.

In 1953, the model was re-introduced and throughout the summer of that year, the model was advertised in the Meccano Magazine at a cost of 2/11. Although renumbered 250, between 1953 and 1958, the model had smooth black tyres, which were eventually replaced with treaded tyres. The model had a tinplate ladder and brass bell, with the appliances rear fittings painted silver. The model was discontinued in 1962.

The actual fire engine was manufactured by Leyland, the 'Cub' design and chassis, with Merryweather 'Limousine' bodywork and a range of fittings. Throughout the 1930s and 1940s, the Streamlined Fire Engine was popular with many brigades, including Bournemouth, London, Coventry, Stourbridge, Lancaster, Newcastle, Redcar and Carlisle. The vehicle was also exported to Austria.

The Dinky Midland Mobile Bank Midland Bank had (at least between 1978 and 1990 two mobile branch vehicles, which look a little like this DT model.

And they had bought once also 3 (older) Leyland buses for the same money shops.

The Dinky Duple Roadmaster Coach Released as 29h in October 1952 the coach was priced at 4/4, this reduced to 3/6 in September 1953. It was renumbered to 282 in March 1954. In May 1959 the price was 3/5. The model was last seen March 1960 catalogue. First appeared in red & dark blue/mid blue hubs. A rare variation from 1952-57 was light blue. This model had 2 kinds of tinplate base. The later example was thinner and more shiny. US export versions where green & cream/cream, red, green hubs. The Dark blue version was replaced by yellow/red flash. Shown at 3/6 on the February 1961 Dinky UK price list.

The Dinky Medium Artillery Tractor Released in November 1957 and illustrated on the back of that months Meccano Magazine. based on a Leyland 6-wheel drive truck. fitted with a driver and two spare tyres. Its last catalogue appearance was in the August 1965 issue when the price was 9/11 it having risen in July 1963. Although in production for eight years, the Medium Artillery Tractor is not a very common model. This model was 5½" long.

There were 5 versions of this model.

The second version has an open-ended front bumper and crossed line in the cab-roof.

The gap between the end of the front bumper and body is in later versions filled in, that seems the more common variation, the open-ended bumpers are rare.

The Dinky Leyland Eight-Wheel Test Chassis There were several different markings on the bottom of chassis, cab, and blocks. Also, there are several different drive mechanisms. The first models had shafts (in red) to both rear axles, but late models had only connection (in black) to the first rear axle. The shafts rotate when the model is moving.
