The French Dinky Citroen 2CV Fourgonnette, Pompiers/ Incendie. In the 1958 catalogue, French Dinky introduced the Citroën 2CV Fourgonnette, Pompiers et Incendie, or Fire Investigation Service van. The model cost 310 Fr. or about 6/3. A decal on each side door and an opening rear door, the traditional red Fire Service colour characterised this 84mm long vehicle. Concave wheel hubs were standard, with smooth black tyres. In reality, Citroën built the 2CV van at the former Panhard factory, Porte d' Ivry, in the south-east of Paris. Known as 'The little workhorse', one and a quarter million of these vans were produced between 1951 and 1981. A technologically advanced vehicle, with a simple design, its body was inspired by the German war-time Junkers JU52 transport plane. In 1959, the model was renumbered 562, but its cost remained 310 Fr. The model was also deleted in 1959. The original price was 310 Fr . It was available in red finish. Released as French Dinky 25D in 1958 withdrawn as French Dinky 25D in 1959.
