Details of Dinky 661 Recovery tractor
The Dinky Recovery tractor.
Length 5ΒΌ" released June 1957 available till 1966 fitted with windows from 1961 crank operated hook. Some have a driver and windows and late versions were fitted with the plastic wheel hubs. Based on the Scammell GS 6x6 Explorer built in Watford. Matchbox also produced a model of this Scammell.
Markings front and rear of the "Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers" [= blue + yellow + red] The original price was 9/6 . It was available in green finish. Released as Dinky 661 in 1957 withdrawn as Dinky 661 in 1966.
