The Dinky Triumph Herald Released May 1959 at 3/3. Increased in price to 3/4 by May 1962 until it was deleted in 1963. Last appeared in the July 1963 catalogue. A number of colour variations were produced for the Triumph Company as a promotional sales item. The release was almost simultaneous with the introduction of the real car on which it was modelled. Nicky 054 Standard Herald MkII
The Nicky Standard Herald MkII fitted with suspension.This is a copy of Dinky No. 189 Triumph Herald. In India Triumphs Heralds were sold as Standard Heralds. All models known are with white interior, RHD and black base plates. Some have painted side stripes. Interesting to note that in the Nicky Catalogue, this model is listed as No. 053, and not No. 054. However, no known examples showing No. 053 on Nicky boxes are known and this is believed to be an error. All known boxes are labelled, No. 054 and are "Atamco" (some plain with "Atamco" stickers) and S. Kumar & Co. (Calcutta).. Nicky in detail...
