Based on the Austin Taxi FX3 which had a Austin engine and chassis with the body built by Carbodies of CoventryThere were three model variations all based on the wheels: Smooth grey plastic wheels, Treaded grey plastic wheels and Treaded black plastic wheels. It was withdrawn in December 1964 at the same price of 2/6d. It did have a short revival with Lines Brothers (Tri-ang) who took over Meccano.
