Details of Dinky Dublo 067 Austin Taxi
The Dinky Dublo Austin Taxi. Released in March 1959 priced at 2/6d. Based on the Austin Taxi FX3 which had a Austin engine and chassis with the body built by Carbodies of CoventryThere were three model variations all based on the wheels: Smooth grey plastic wheels, Treaded grey plastic wheels and Treaded black plastic wheels. It was withdrawn in December 1964 at the same price of 2/6d. It did have a short revival with Lines Brothers (Tri-ang) who took over Meccano. It was issued with no changes whatsoever and was finally taken off the shelf in 1966/67. The original price was 2/6 . It was available in blue & white finish at 00 scale. Released as Dinky Dublo 067 in 1959 withdrawn as Dinky Dublo 067 in 1967.
