The French Dinky Berliet GAK Dépannage. The Berliet GAK dépannage, model 589A, the 'Highway troubleshooting' recovery vehicle appeared in the distinctive bright orange livery of the 'Direction Départementale de l' Equipement Autoroutes, part of the government's Ministry of Public works. Similar, but not identical to the standard dépannage, 122mm long model 589A, has an antenna and plastic flashing light on the cab roof. Some later versions had suspension, but all had plastic windows and 'Dépannage Autoroutes' along the side panels in black. The cost was fr.11 (new francs), about 15/9. The original price was 11 Fr . It was available in orange finish. Released as French Dinky 589A in 1970 withdrawn as French Dinky 589A in 1971.
