Details of Dinky 643 Army water tanker
The Dinky Army water tanker. Released January 1958 and shown on the back of that months Meccano magazine. Based on an Austin 4 wheel drive truck with a 200 gallon capacity tank. Early versions have smooth tyres and later ones have windows. Shown on the February 1961 Dinky price list for 4/6. The original price was 4/3 . It was available in olive drab finish at 1:60 scale. Released as Dinky 643 in 1958 withdrawn as Dinky 643 in 1959.
