The Dinky Fire Engine. Illustrated on the back cover of the November 1961 Meccano Magazine.

The tin palte ladder and bell are the some or similar to those on Dinky 250 but the bell is fixed directly to the vehicle body.

There are 2 versions of the tin plate base. The earlier models rivets while the later version has a tab at the back that slots into the body casting. This later version also has red plastic hubs as opposed to the shaped spun hubs on the earlier model.

The original price was 5/9 . It was available in red finish. Released as Dinky 259 in 1961 withdrawn as Dinky 259 in 1970.
