Details of Dinky 693 7.2 Howitzer
The Dinky 7.2 Howitzer.
Length 5-1/8in released in October 1958 Advertised in the September 1958 Meccano Magazine. This model has a cast chassis with cast or plastic control wheel. Early models were olive-green with a white painted panel, rubber holder, and tractor type tire treads. Late models were glossy-green with a white painted panel, little spring holder, and square type tire treads.
This howitzer in real life is made by the ‘Royal Gun Factory’. It was used in WW-II and used 200 lbs. shells with a range of 13.200 yds
The original price was 3/6 . It was available in unknown finish at 1:60 scale. Released as Dinky 693 in 1958 withdrawn as Dinky 693 in 1967.
