French Dinky 549 Borgward Isabella Coupe
The French Dinky Borgward Isabella Coupe This two-door coupe distinguished itself with its white tyres, suspension, concave hubs, red interior and windows. Bremen car maker, Carl Borgward, developed the Isabella TS Coupe from the earlier cabriolet, whose production was in the hands of the Deutsch organisation, in Cologne. The coupe required some improvements to provide the necessary rigidity, which increased production costs. Early teething troubles and considerable over-supply of parts and vehicles contributed to the company's collapse and controversial bankruptcy in 1962.
