The French Dinky Plymouth Belvedere. In August 1957, The French Meccano Magazine announced the introduction of the Plymouth Belvedere Coupé, 24D. The 110mm long model of the American import cost 320 old francs, about 6/3. The car came in two colour schemes; green and black or grey and tomato red. (rare versions exist in two-tone metallic dark brown upper and sides; and light brown body. The rarest, white upper and sides with light blue body.) also in Both versions had ‘chrome’, steel ribbed hubs and smooth white tyres. During 1959, the model was re-numbered 523 and the hubs changed to the concave, spun type. The model was deleted in 1961.

Based upon the 1956 model of the Plymouth Belvedere, the Chrysler Corporation introduced the car as the second generation of the vehicle. The car represent the first of a new style by Virgil Exner and featured push-button automatic transmission, seat belts and huge tail fins, which became even bigger in the 1957 model. The car came with a range of V8 engines and six body types, including a coupé, which became the inspiration behind the French Dinky model.

Launched in August 1957, re-numbered in 1959, the model was withdrawn in 1961. The original price was 320Fr. . It was available in red & grey, green & black, 2-tone met. brown, white & blue finish at 1:47 scale. Released as French Dinky 24D in 1959 withdrawn as French Dinky 24D in 1961.
