Details of Tekno 814-K Army Cannon
The Tekno Army Cannon.
This set comprises two pieces made by Tekno Denmark. They are diecast and were made in the late 1950's.
The military Jeep is number 814 (made in 1957 | price DKK 4,75) – production between 1957-1969 – and looked like a Willy's Jeep. The iconic car of WW-II. Some time later there were 5 other versions: ‘Red Cross’, ‘Falck’, ‘UN’, civil (all in 1958) and "Svensk Räddningtjänst" (1961).
This cannon is part of the present set [814-K], the trailer gun can be attached in line to the jeep by pin and locking key (typical system of Tekno-Dk).
The gun has a spring loaded lever which works well. You could use matches as ammunition.
There was also a gift set [814-KP] – made between march 1960-1969 | price DKK 8,75 – which consisted of : the jeep [814], a (open) ammunition car [814-P] and behind that the cannon [814-K]. The individual price of the trailer gun was DKK 2,50.
The original price was DKK 2,50 . It was available in olive drab finish at 1:43.5 scale. Released as Tekno 814-K in 1957 withdrawn as Tekno 814-K in 1969.
