Details of Dinky 175 Hillman Minx
The Dinky Hillman Minx.
Released August 1958 with a UK price of 3/3. In May 1959 this dropped to 2/11. The model was deleted towards the end of 60 and does not appear in the Jan 61 Meccano Australia price list. Had shortest production life of the Rootes Group cars from Meccano in 1958/59.
The rarest in 1960 had spun hubs. The Hillman was first issued with the upper colour covering the air vents in front of the windscreen. A variation, less common, has the upper scheme ending at the base of the windscreen pillar.
The original price was 3/3 . It was available in green & tan or blue & grey finish at 1:45 scale. Released as Dinky 175 in 1958 withdrawn as Dinky 175 in 1961.
