Details of Budgie 224 Railway Engine
The Budgie Railway Engine. Locomotive (British Railways) 0-6-0 tank engine with moving con rods. There are at least 3 variants Early examples have BRITISH RAILWAYS 7118 in the casting others have a paper name and number with square corner or with cropped corners. There is also some minor variation to the under side of the casting. Priced at 3/6d in both the 1958 and 1960 Budgie leaflets. The original price was 3/6 . It was available in red, green, bronze, black finish.
