Details of French Dinky 825 DUKW Amphibious Vehicle
The French Dinky DUKW Amphibious Vehicle.
The top moulding is plastic. The plastic barrels and crates react when in contact with the plastic interior. The main body is a diecast, but the centre is made of softer plastic. When the model is stored it is better to keep the barrels and boxes inside a plastic bag, or if the model is on display, don't put the barrels and the boxes in the cargo area. Early models did not have a driver. There were several versions of decals both starts and flags were used.
The real vehicle was made by Chevrolet in the GMC-division.
It was available in olive drab finish at 1:55 scale. Released as French Dinky 825 in 1965 withdrawn as French Dinky 825 in 1971.
